Helmos ObservatoryIf you're looking for a more challenging riding experience, the mountainous roads that lead to the Helmos Observatory are a must-visit. Αn altitude of 2340 m (22˚ 11′ 46″ East, 37˚ 59′ 04″ North), 130 km west of Athens and about 15 km from the city of Kalavryta. The site is one of the darkest areas in Greece and Europe. You can extend your experience by heading south to Doxa lake.
Lake DoxaLake Doxa is a top destination and very popular, even for a day trip only. There is a thin strip of land entering the lake waters, and on it you will see Agios Fanourios church. Feneos plateau lies at an 850m. elevation and there are nine stone-built villages surrounding the lake and adding impressive touches to the area’s great beauty.
